The Oxford Investigations series is just as brilliant as Slough House, really

⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑  Another brilliant effort with Mick Herron. This is the second book in Zoe Boehm's series and it picks up nicely from where the previous book, Down Cemetery Road, left off. I like the twisty nature of this book. There's quite a lot here that makes the mystery feel wholly authentic. We see a more personal and engaging side to Zoe which is delightful.

I'm so pleased to have Sarah back again for this book. She is a really lovely character, very grounded and she works so well with Zoe. The entire siege passes quickly and doesn't drag on like these things tend to. I expect the next book will be full of threads that didn't get tied up here. I'm looking forward to it!
